What is Warmer Kiwi homes initiative
Warmer Kiwi Homes is a Government programme offering grants covering 80% of the cost of an installed heat pump.
You could be eligible if:
You own and live in the home, built before 2008
You (the owner) have a community services card or live in an area identified as low income (visit warmerkiwihomes.govt.nz to check your address)
your home must have ceiling and underfloor insulation
you don’t have a fixed heater in a main living area of your home.
Eligibility criteria and conditions apply. Heater grants are capped at $3,000 incl GST.
